Environmental Advisor

As an environmental advisor, you help a defense organization to deal responsibly with the living environment, both ashore and on board. You will work with experienced colleagues on various environmental issues, get ample opportunity to learn the profession, and see directly how your work contributes to a safe and sustainable organization.

What you will do.

• Advise managers on environmental policy, waste management, and appropriate control measures.
• Conduct site visits, analyze data, and propose improvements for environmental care.
• Support the implementation and further development of the safety and environmental management system.
• Provide information to colleagues to increase environmental awareness within the organization.
• Prepare reports and advice, translating laws and regulations into practical solutions for daily practice.

What they ask

• A completed HBO (higher professional education) degree in environmental science, sustainability, or a comparable field.
• The ability to analyze information and translate it into clear advice and reports.
• Familiarity with environmental laws and regulations.
• Flexibility, stress resistance, and an independent work attitude.

What they ask

• You must be able to obtain a Certificate of No Objection (VGB-B).
• You must originate from a country within the European Economic Area, or possess a combined residence and work permit (GVVA).
