In a department focused on residents with complex and persistent personality issues, you will contribute to stability and quality of life. Residents often have a long history with forensic care and exhibit complex behavior. Work is done in small groups to detect and manage tensions more quickly. The treatment and living environment aims to provide safety, stability, and quality of life. Efforts are made to reduce suffering, promote self-reliance, and strengthen protective factors.
What you will do.
- You are the familiar face and constant factor in the department.
- You provide structure and support in the daily lives of long-stay clients.
- You ensure safety without losing sight of the human aspect.
- You observe keenly using the STA methodology (See, Think, Act).
- You communicate clearly to de-escalate tensions.
- You collaborate with the multidisciplinary team on guidance plans, therapeutic interventions, and group dynamics.
- You de-escalate crises and provide structure and quality of life.
Profile
- You possess patience, resilience, and courage in an intensive setting.
- Your professionalism creates stability for clients and the team.
What they ask
- Completed HBO (higher professional education) degree in social work.
- Experience in forensic or complex LVG psychiatry.
- Ability to assess risks and take measures if necessary.
- Good self-reflection skills.
- Remain professional and calm under pressure; crisis situations do not unbalance you.
- Proficiency in the Dutch language, both spoken and written.
- Availability for irregular shifts (day and evening) and weekend shifts.
