This position combines two roles, depending on project complexity.
What you will do. As Lead Engineer:
- Act as a Core Team Member in medium to high complexity projects, representing all engineering disciplines and coordinating the full engineering scope.
- Provide technical support across the project lifecycle.
- Exercise independent judgment on complex engineering challenges.
- Translate scope into request for quotation packages.
- Check and approve drawings and calculations.
- Verify alignment with Dutch, European, and industry standards.
- Manage progress and quality with external engineering firms, on-site contractors, and internal stakeholders.
As Project Lead:
- Manage medium complex capital investment projects through the full Engineering Process, from feasibility to closure.
- Define and manage project objectives, scope, budget, and timelines.
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver results.
- Support the sponsor in defining the business need.
- Ensure GXP-compliant implementation including Change Control.
- Communicate project progress to sponsors and stakeholders through portfolio management systems.
- Manage contracts, purchase orders, and client expectations with respect to safety, quality, reliability, time, and budget.
What they are looking for.
- University degree.
- Five to seven years of relevant work experience.
- Completed FPX Project Lead Training.
- VCA-VOL qualification.
- Effective communication at all levels.
- Proficient in MS Office and SAP.
- Strong analytical skills to identify root causes and develop solutions.
- Ability to work independently.
- Manage tight deadlines with a positive attitude.
- Keep technical knowledge current through continuous professional development.
