As a Team Leader Chemistry Laboratory, you are responsible for the daily management and further development of a GC team within an international and accredited laboratory specializing in environmental and water analyses. Within this laboratory, soil, air, water, and wastewater samples, among others, are analyzed. You focus on employees, capacity, quality, and improvement, without acting as an executive analyst yourself.
What you will do.
- Daily management of the team regarding progress, quality, priorities, and lead times
- Create and monitor personnel and capacity planning, ensuring sufficient knowledge and competencies within the team
- Guide and develop employees, focusing on training, assessment, and safeguarding professional competence
- Improve GC processes together with the team and ensure quality through SOPs, audits, and follow-up of deviations
- Monitor equipment availability and coordinate capacity, malfunctions, re-analyses, and improvements with other departments
Profile
You will lead a team of 10 to 15 Chemical Analysts with various experience levels. The work environment is down-to-earth and collegial, with a strong focus on quality, professional development, and continuous process improvement.
