You will temporarily replace an engineer during a period of leave. You will work across the front end and back end of an online growth platform for SME entrepreneurs. You will develop and maintain modern applications and contribute to APIs, integrations, testing, security, monitoring, and CI/CD within an Azure environment.
You will work closely with UX, content, growth marketing, performance, data, and engineering colleagues to help deliver a reliable, user-friendly, data-driven, and continuously improving platform that supports entrepreneurs with relevant knowledge, tools, propositions, and services.
Profile
Front End:
- Thorough experience with React and Vue, preferably supplemented with SSG frameworks such as Gatsby or Nuxt.
- Experience with GraphQL and/or REST for data fetching from a headless CMS, such as Contentful.
- Experience with component and styling solutions such as PrimeVue, styled-components, or Tailwind is an advantage.
- Knowledge of accessibility (a11y), secure processing of user input, and XSS prevention.
- Experience with unit and end-to-end testing, for example using Jest/Vitest and Playwright.
- Ability to independently resolve build and dependency issues in tools including webpack and Vite.
Back End and Integrations:
- Extensive experience with Node.js and Express, including routes, middleware, and secure configuration.
- Designing, building, and documenting REST APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger.
- Experience with Azure integrations, including Microsoft Graph API, Entra ID/Azure Identity, and Key Vault.
- Knowledge of back-end security, including Helmet and CORS.
- Experience with Kafka and schema-driven messaging using Avro/Schema Registry is a strong advantage.
- Experience with back-end testing, for example using Vitest and Supertest.
Platform, Quality and Operations:
- Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD and multi-stage YAML pipelines for development, acceptance, and production environments.
- Practical knowledge of Azure services, including Static Web Apps, App Service, Key Vault, and Application Insights.
- Experience with linting, code quality, and security scanning using tools such as ESLint, typescript-eslint, and SonarQube.
