A specialized forensic psychiatric care institution provides unique care to patients with an indication for long-term forensic psychiatric care.
- The patient population consists of individuals who have undergone multiple treatments without a sufficient reduction in recidivism risk.
- The focus shifts from specific recidivism risk treatment to providing quality of life within necessary limitations, requiring a different approach to treatment and guidance.
- You will be part of a small, dedicated, and enthusiastic team of treatment coordinators and will be connected to a fixed multidisciplinary team.
- There is ample opportunity for intensive collegial consultation and collaboration within a pleasant working atmosphere.
- You will make an important contribution to analyzing and monitoring the right balance between delivering quality of life without losing sight of safety.
What you do
- Function as the primary clinician within the patient's trajectory.
- Outline treatment plans and provide substantive guidance to other disciplines.
- Work closely with the department's care manager.
- Evaluate and adjust treatments as needed.
- Ensure up-to-date risk assessment and establish risk management.
- Be the coordinating link between the patient, the team, and external parties.
- Handle documentation, supported by an assistant treatment coordinator and a treatment reporter.
What they ask
- Completed education as a GZ-psychologist or Mental Health Nurse Specialist (Verpleegkundig Specialist GGZ).
- Possess the necessary registrations (BIG and AGB / for Nurse Specialist, also specialist register registration).
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks, see challenges in the unexpected, and work meticulously.
- Affinity with complex case studies and the ability to weigh risks and dare to take responsible risks or measures where necessary.
- A team player who can guide the team in the chosen direction.
- Ability to make accessible contact and appreciate small steps forward.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
