Teacher building energy performance

You work as a teacher for an educational institution and contribute to the development of professionals in the building energy performance sector.

What you do

  • You make lessons interactive and varied, so that participants acquire and apply new knowledge, skills, and attitudes.
  • You use relevant (digital) working methods to improve the learning experience and create engagement.
  • You develop teaching materials (hand-outs, online content, practical exercises) and/or ensure that existing materials are up-to-date and relevant.
  • You co-create new courses in the sector with the sector manager and/or co-teachers.
  • You stimulate entrepreneurship and professional behavior among the target group.
  • You coach students throughout the course to achieve their goals.
  • You represent the educational institution and contribute to its image as a place for expertise, entrepreneurship, and innovation.

Profile

  • Expertise and passion in everything related to building energy performance.
  • Experience or recognition as an energy performance expert (EPB/EPC/ventilation/air conditioning).
  • An open learning attitude and empathy for people at different stages of the learning process.
  • Basic digital skills and the ability to apply them practically (managing teaching materials, email, digital learning environment, audiovisual aids).
  • Some experience with teaching/speaking to a group is a plus (a pedagogical diploma is not a must).

Practical

  • Target audience: Energy performance reporters (EPB/EPC/ventilation/...) and energy performance experts (ventilation/air conditioning/...).
  • Lesson times: daytime/evening (to be determined).
  • Possible course contents will be evaluated and discussed during the selection process.
