For an international organization, we are looking for an HR & Payroll Officer to temporarily strengthen the HR team. You will join an environment with continuous operations and a diverse population of blue-collar and white-collar workers, spread across multiple joint committees, each with its own wage rules and sectoral agreements. Correct and timely remuneration is therefore crucial for daily operations.
What you will do.
- Prepare payroll administration for an operational blue-collar workforce, timely and correctly, based on the performance data provided
- Process and control payroll via the social secretariat's software package and report discrepancies in a timely manner
- Follow up on extra-legal benefits and their correct processing in salary calculations
- Monitor time registration and follow up on corrections
- Process career breaks and absences
- Manage and update personnel files in HR and payroll administration systems
- Answer employee questions about their salary and benefits
- Monitor the accuracy of personnel data and compliance with labor legislation and internal policy
Profile
- Demonstrable experience in HR and payroll administration, preferably with a blue-collar workforce in an operational environment
- Experience with multiple joint committees and associated sectoral wage rules
- Good knowledge of Belgian labor law and wage rules
- Experience with a social secretariat's payroll package, such as Acerta, SD Worx
- Proficient in HR software and time registration systems
- Accurate and structured, you manage multiple files simultaneously without errors
- Strong communication skills and customer-oriented towards employees
- Fluent in Dutch and English
