In this role, you play a key part in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications that support business-critical platforms. You are responsible for writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while ensuring high standards of quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Beyond coding, debugging, and testing, you actively contribute to architectural discussions, perform code reviews, and help define technical best practices within the team. You enjoy mentoring and coaching junior developers, sharing knowledge, and fostering a collaborative engineering culture.
What you do
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality full stack applications using Java and Angular
- Build scalable, cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS, Docker
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver reliable software
- Take ownership of technical solutions, contribute ideas, and participate in architectural discussions
- Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and continuous improvement
- Mentor teammates when needed, work independently, and take responsibility for your own deliverables
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and continuously expand your technical expertise through self-learning
What they ask
- Minimum 5 years of experience within software development
- Thorough knowledge of Java Backend Development
- Thorough knowledge of JavaScript (Angular)
- Good understanding of the principles of Docker/Kubernetes
- Good knowledge of Cloud (AWS)
- Good knowledge of Dutch and/or French with English
- The willingness to acquire the necessary knowledge via self-learning
- Knowledge of Kafka is a big plus
- Knowledge of different databases
- Microservices knowledge is a plus
