You will work as a support worker within a care organization, spread across two different locations. You will work with diverse target groups, including clients with EMB, MVG, and LVB, both children and youth. The role combines intensive guidance and ADL care with the opportunity to contribute to the development of one of the locations.
What you do
As a support worker, you observe and analyze the needs of clients and offer appropriate support, ranging from stimulating to fully taking over care. You encourage independence where possible and provide direct support when needed.
- Guides clients in their daily lives and supports with ADL, from stimulating to fully taking over.
- Observes behavior, recognizes signals, and acts calmly and independently in complex situations.
- Collaborates with colleagues, shares observations, and reflects on your own actions.
- Easily switches between different clients, locations, and guidance questions.
Experience with methodologies such as Triple-C, Active Support, and PRE is a plus, with Triple-C being teachable internally.
Profile
We are looking for a stable and independent support worker who remains calm and acts appropriately in unexpected and complex situations. You are able to look beyond behavior alone, observe, analyze, and understand what a client needs. You can be present when needed and give space when someone can do something themselves, and critically reflect on your own actions. The variety between different target groups and locations appeals to you.
- Minimum a completed relevant MBO-4 diploma within Care & Welfare.
- Affinity with people with intellectual disabilities and intensive guidance needs.
- Able to work independently and professionally deal with self-mutilation, aggression, and escalations.
- Willing to work at different locations.
