A consulting firm specializing in real estate and facility management within the education sector is looking for a real estate advisor. The clients are primarily school boards in primary, secondary, and special education sectors. You will work closely with a strategic real estate advisor and two other real estate advisors within a young Real Estate Development department.
What you will do.
- Advise and report on (multi-year) maintenance in relation to maintenance policy and financial possibilities, or portfolio management.
- Advise and guide in developing a program of requirements.
- Advise on management and exploitation structures and their implementation for new construction, as well as improving existing (multifunctional) buildings.
- Advise and report on all relevant laws and regulations, such as the Decree on Building Works and Living Environment and the Primary Education Act and Secondary Education Act.
- Advise and report on topics such as sustainability and fire safety.
- Prepare calculations, models, and contracts related to the ownership, management, and exploitation of educational housing.
- Support the strategic real estate advisor on management and exploitation issues, setting project frameworks for construction and renovation, as well as strategic housing plans.
Profile
- A completed HBO (higher professional education) degree in Architecture or Real Estate, and preferably a WO (university) degree in Real Estate Management or a comparable education.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with and knowledge of Excel and Adobe.
- Ambitious and eager to learn, analytical, and communicatively skilled.
- Customer-focused: you approach the client in a service-oriented manner.
- An eye for commercial opportunities is a plus.
- You are proactive and work quickly and efficiently.
- You are responsible for delivering projects within the frameworks of time and quality.
- Affinity with educational housing: you enjoy visiting schools and school boards.
- You actively follow developments in your field.
