For a production company, a Production & Packaging Team Leader is sought for a temporary assignment. You will be responsible for two foremen and a team of 13 employees. As the linchpin of the production department, you will ensure that your team works safely, efficiently, and with an eye for quality. You will coordinate the activities of the foremen and their teams of operators, maintaining an overview from raw material to finished product.
Thanks to your organizational and human insight, the line will run smoothly, and targets for efficiency, capacity, and quality will be achieved.
What you do
- You create a safe, tidy, and motivating work environment.
- You organize and monitor production and packaging activities within your shift.
- You manage the foremen and their team of operators, supporting them in their daily operations.
- You monitor performance and production results, intervening where necessary.
- You stimulate improvement initiatives regarding safety, quality, and efficiency.
- You draw up personnel planning, coordinate during absences or peak moments, and ensure optimal staffing.
- You work closely with colleagues from Quality, Planning, TD, Safety, and Environment.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or process technology field, or equivalent by experience.
- Knowledge of production or packaging processes and a solid, broad technical background.
- Proficient with MS Office; knowledge of SAP or Citect is a plus.
- A coaching leader who communicates clearly and encourages engagement.
- Willingness to work in a 3-shift system (early, late, and night).
- Willingness to obtain necessary safety certificates (BA4, forklift, "safe cleaning", working with chemicals/high pressure).
