Civil Engineering Structures Advisor

• A detailed advice on the contract strategy and contract forms for the inspection, maintenance, and management of civil engineering structures
• Delivered tender documentation, including demand specifications, assessment methodology, and draft contract documents
• An analysis of risks, maintenance tasks, and priorities within the civil engineering structures portfolio
• An advisory report for the further development of management processes and asset management
• A report with findings and recommendations regarding data quality, inspection data, and management information for maintenance and upkeep
• Knowledge transfer about the work performed and products delivered to the contact persons designated by the client

What they ask

• Completed HBO (higher professional education) degree in a relevant technical field, such as Civil Engineering (HTS Civiele Techniek)
• Minimum of 10 years of demonstrable work experience in the management of civil infrastructure or public spaces, with extensive experience in tenders and contracts for civil engineering structures

Preferences.

• Experience with asset management or capital asset management
• Experience with management data and management systems
• Experience with multi-year maintenance and investment programs
• Knowledge of the P&C cycle
• More than the required 10 years of work experience in the management of civil engineering structures in public spaces
• Very broad experience with advising on management and maintenance issues of civil engineering structures and experience within a public organization or comparable public environment

• The contractor performs the assignment independently and according to their own professional judgment
• The contractor determines how the assignment results are achieved and is responsible for the design and execution of the work
• The contractor periodically coordinates progress and interim results with the client
