On behalf of a leading Dutch bank, a Director Procurement is sought. In this role, you set the course for a future-proof procurement department and create strategic value for the entire organization.
What you do
You will be fully responsible for the procurement department, a team of around 30 professionals working in policy, data analysis, purchasing, and contract management. Based on your procurement vision and strategy, you will position Procurement as the central coordinating function of the organization. You connect, advise, and maintain a firm grip on risks, costs, and compliance, with a direct impact on the entire organization.
Responsibilities.
- Developing and implementing the procurement vision and strategy, including analyses and advice for strategic decision-making at Executive Board level
- Monitoring and continuously improving policies, frameworks, and standards for procurement and contract management, including process ownership for ECB reporting such as DORA and EBA
- Advising business units on procurement and market developments in support of their multi-year strategies, ensuring the organization complies with all laws and regulations
- Managing buyers and contract managers, and personally leading strategic procurement projects
- Building and maintaining relationships with strategic suppliers, acting as the lead on outsourcing and as Vice-Chair of the Outsourcing Board
