You will work within two departments: outpatient child rehabilitation (primarily primary school children, but also preschoolers) and outpatient youth rehabilitation (PDHJ). The PDHJ target group includes young people with eating disorders, resocialization problems, neurodevelopmental disorders (ASD, ADHD, FNSS), and rehabilitation after TBI or traffic accidents.
What you will do.
- Conduct assessments and develop customized treatment plans.
- Select and implement appropriate therapeutic techniques/treatments based on predefined objectives.
- Offer a broad spectrum of therapies primarily focused on ADL, play, fine motor skills, (beginning) school skills, learning to relax, working on good energy management, and psychomotor therapy.
- Implement necessary aids.
- Provide both individual and group therapy.
- Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals such as pediatricians, physiotherapists, speech therapists, dietitians, and psychologists to ensure a holistic approach to care.
- Work with parents and caregivers to involve them in the treatment and provide advice for the home situation.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date patient file.
Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in occupational therapy.
- Knowledge of/experience in treating children with developmental disorders and autism.
- Experience with diagnoses such as eating disorders and neurodevelopmental disorders (ASD, ADHD, FNSS) is a plus.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with parents and colleagues.
- Creative and innovative in client-centered development and evaluation of therapeutic approaches.
- Willingness for further specialization.
