As a Tender Strategist, you will discover how clients make their choices, how tender teams arrive at the best solutions, and how to translate complex information into a convincing plan of approach. You will work with experienced colleagues, receive extensive guidance, and gradually develop into a fully-fledged Tender Strategist.
What you do
As a Tender Strategist, you will contribute to tenders for various infrastructural projects. Together with tender strategists, tender managers, and technical specialists, you will investigate what clients consider important and how a construction company can position itself distinctively. You will learn how to analyze client questions, gather information, and structure complex issues. You will support workshops, brainstorms, and the preparation of plans of approach.
This will give you increasing insight into the tender process and help you develop into a strong discussion partner within the team. Specifically, this means you will:
- Contribute to tenders from start to submission.
- Analyze client questions and help translate them into a distinctive approach.
- Gather and structure information from discussions, documents, and research.
- Prepare and support workshops and brainstorms.
- Develop plans of approach with colleagues.
- Help write and improve tender documents.
- Develop into an independent Tender Strategist.
You will be part of the tender strategy department within Commercial Business Development. Here you will work with colleagues from various backgrounds, such as civil engineering, technology, law, communication, geography, and business administration. The department supports tenders throughout a large infrastructure organization. You will participate in projects for various public and private clients. This will allow you to become familiar with different projects, clients, and challenges within infrastructure.
