Java Developer

• Develop and maintain data pipelines and backend services using Java 21, Python, and Go.
• Implement ELT processes and manage data integrations from diverse source systems into a data lake and data warehouse.
• Build and maintain core backend APIs that power a central content platform.
• Collaborate with solution architects to define technical choices and expand the platform architecture.
• Ensure the quality, performance, and scalability of data-driven solutions.
• Actively participate in an Agile/Scrum environment, contributing to code reviews and technical documentation.

What they ask

• Minimum 5 years of experience in software development and data engineering within complex or large-scale projects.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in backend development using Java, Python, or Go.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with AWS Services such as Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, Aurora PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Infrastructure as Code using AWS CloudFormation and DevOps principles.
• Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS).
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team.
• Communicative team player with an open-minded and inquisitive approach to technical challenges.
• Fluent in Dutch at a C2 level.

Nice to Haves.

• Experience with Quarkus and event-driven architecture within microservices.
• Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
• Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or Prepr.
• Familiarity with design patterns such as Observer, Strategy, and Chain of Responsibility.
• Prior professional experience within the media industry.
