Customs & Import Specialist

• Prepare and manage import declarations and associated customs documentation.
• Create, process, and maintain import files, ensuring all relevant information is accurate and up to date.
• Coordinate with transport operations to support the smooth handling of incoming shipments.
• Communicate with customs agents regarding declarations, documentation requirements, and shipment-related queries.
• Follow up on outstanding customs formalities and resolve administrative issues where necessary.
• Provide day-to-day operational and administrative support to the import function.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure import documentation is properly organized.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners to help prevent delays and keep import processes moving efficiently.

• Previous experience in customs, import operations, freight forwarding, or international transport and logistics.
• Practical knowledge of import declarations and customs documentation.
• Experience handling import files and coordinating with transport operations or customs agents.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a hands-on operational environment and managing multiple priorities.

Languages.

• Dutch / Flemish: Mandatory, with the ability to communicate confidently with customs agents.
• French: Preferred as a second language.
• English: Preferred as a third language for communication in an international working environment.
