Data Specialist

• Advise internal projects, services, and training on the correct use, management, and security of data in various information systems and applications.
• Establish guidelines and work processes for data quality, metadata management, and data life cycle (creation, storage, archiving, deletion).
• Coordinate the configuration and rollout of data warehouse, data lake, and business intelligence environments.
• Document data models, data flows, and configuration parameters; define technical acceptance criteria and acceptance tests.
• Design and maintain interfaces (APIs, ETL processes, message brokers) between different information systems and applications.
• Monitor data integrity and consistency during changes and releases.
• Advise on and supervise the application of applicable security procedures (cryptography, access, and authorization rules) for data.
• Ensure that data processing complies with relevant standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR aspects).
• Collaborate on internal services and projects at the request of the Head of the ICT Department.
• Contribute to the development of procedures, work instructions, and policy documents related to data management.

What they ask

• Knowledge of data architecture, data modeling, BI tools, big data technologies, and data governance models.
• Insight into the organization and working methods of the departments, as well as defensive security procedures for data and crypto.
• Skills in drafting technical specifications, data analysis, and data quality measurements.
• Experience in writing PowerShell and Python scripts for data manipulation.
• Experience in developing SQL queries.
• Experience with the data integration and visualization tools used within the organization (e.g., Power BI, SSIS, or other comparable platforms).
• Minimum MBO level 4 ICT or an equivalent diploma, supplemented with demonstrable HBO work and thinking level.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CDMP) are a plus.
• Extensive experience with data management, ETL processes, and data security within a complex organizational environment.
