- The position is for the course unit 'Corporate and Family Property Law' within a master's program.

What you do
- Provide the course unit 'Corporate and Family Property Law' in Dutch.
- This course unit is at the intersection of corporate law on the one hand, and family property law, tax law, and contract law on the other.
- Central themes include the family business and its continuity, covering:
- Definitions and economic importance of the family business.
- Choice of legal form, shares/ownership, leadership and management, and family governance.
- Succession in the family business.
- Fate of shares of married shareholders and the status of married shareholders in case of divorce, as well as the hypothesis of cohabiting shareholders.
- Supervise and assess a number of master's theses within the master's program in corporate law.
- The education must meet the requirements set for academic programs in terms of level, orientation, and academic content, and is research-based and research-oriented.
Profile
- You hold a doctorate in law.
- You have directly relevant practical experience, preferably at the intersection of corporate and association law and family property law, or at least in one of these areas.
- You have high-quality publications and have given lectures on these topics.
- You possess a thorough vision and the ability to provide academically high-quality research-based education and excellent didactic skills.
- Teaching experience is a plus.
- You have demonstrable organizational, social, and professional skills and leadership capabilities to integrate collegially and flexibly into a team.
Practical
- Appointment as a guest lecturer for a period of 1 year, renewable.
