As an occupational therapist, you will expertly and empathetically support elderly clients in living as dignified and valuable a life as possible, despite increasing limitations. You will work in regional teams within long-term care and first-line care.
What you do
- Provide treatment and guidance in both somatic and psychogeriatric care.
- Play an increasing role in treatment and advice for clients living at home.
- Enhance clients' self-reliance and support their self-management.
- Advise colleagues on performing care actions for complex issues.
- Conduct research and provide advice focused on Sensory Information Processing (SI).
- Advise clients regarding pressure ulcers, lying, sitting, and transferring.
Profile
- High degree of independence, an open mindset, and a proactive attitude.
- Development-oriented and capable of adopting a blended care approach.
- HBO diploma in Occupational Therapy and valid registration in the basic or quality register for paramedics.
- A plus: additional training/interests such as pressure ulcers, SI, PDL, knowledge of sitting and lying postures.
- Experience working in first-line care and familiarity with applying for aids through external agencies.
- Own transportation is required for traveling between locations.
