Are you an ambitious neurogeneticist looking to grow further in an inspiring academic environment? Stemming from the growing collaboration between a Human Genetics department and a specialized center for neurological disorders in the field of clinical care and science, we are looking for a clinical geneticist with a focus on neurogenetics. There is also close collaboration with an expertise center for specific neuromuscular diseases and rare movement disorders.
You will work within a Human Genetics department that provides approximately 8,000 genetic counseling sessions per year and performs over 20,000 diagnostic genome determinations. Clinical and basic scientific research is conducted within various themes, including neurodegeneration, functional genome analysis in brain diseases, the genetics of complex diseases, community genetics, and public health genomics.
The clinical team consists of approximately 50 colleagues, including clinical geneticists, resident physicians, physician assistants, genetic counselors, and case managers, supplemented by outpatient clinic staff.
