A team is responsible for surveying and distributing bread meals via a bread buffet trolley (hotel service). The goal is to increase patient satisfaction and the quality of care. Patients choose "last minute", have a wide choice (according to diet) and feel more recognized as individuals. The organization strives to create a home-like feeling and prevent malnutrition.
What you do
- Ensure the comfort and well-being of patients and contribute daily to a warm and pleasant living environment in the department
- Serve patients during meals, manage the bread buffet trolley, and ensure that all necessities are available timely and correctly
- Work closely with nurses and dietitians and carefully follow dietary prescriptions and patient instructions
- Collect and process food materials according to HACCP guidelines and applicable safety procedures
- Take on various administrative and department-related tasks, thereby contributing to smooth daily operations
- Timely signal points of attention and problems to nurses, the department head, or other involved colleagues
What they ask
- Diploma, certificate, or attestation as a logistics assistant, recognized within the hospital sector
- Experience within the healthcare sector is a plus, but your motivation and commitment are at least as important
- Knowledge of dietary prescriptions, nutritional guidelines, and HACCP regulations is an asset, but can be further developed within the role
- Excellent command of Dutch, both verbally and in writing; knowledge of French or English is an added value
- Willingness to work in a variable schedule, including weekend shifts, and adapt easily to changing situations
- Take responsibility, work proactively, and communicate professionally with patients, family members, and healthcare providers
