Backstage Developer

GelderlandHybrid40 hours/week<3months

The Information Provision (IV) department of a government organization is responsible for delivering all ICT facilities for the organization's processes. The IV sub-department Integration Business Services (IBS) develops these facilities in line with one of the primary processes. Work is being done on one of the most business-critical systems in the Netherlands, where many applications are developed and integrated by the IV IBS to form a single working solution.

Quality is paramount in realizing products and services for citizens, businesses, and employees. To be able to respond quickly and agilely to the wishes of stakeholders in the future, the organization continuously invests in the renewal of its products and organizes its working methods in such a way that the desired results are delivered in collaboration with many parties.

Large-scale adjustments are being prepared and implemented in the application landscape, over several years and in a controlled manner, so that the supported processes can continue to run unhindered while being renewed. This demands a lot from the IV organization. All desired changes in the field of legislation and regulations, as well as business innovation and modernization of the application landscape, must be implemented in a timely manner and by the right parties.

The IV organization is responsible for and provides ICT facilities, partly by utilizing internal expertise and partly by attracting ready-made solutions and expertise from the market.

The Backstage Team works within Generic Supporting Services (GOS), which supports IV chains and IV service departments with generic services that support the entire software lifecycle: from design and realization to testing, deployment, and management, through reusable solutions, standardization, and extensive automation, as much as possible via self-service.
