Information Advisor Metadata

As an information advisor, you focus on processes and projects with a clear information management component. In collaboration with the team of information advisors and specialists in Privacy, Security, Data & AI, you contribute to sustainable and future-proof solutions. You monitor compliance with policies, legal frameworks, and established procedures.
Additionally, you follow relevant developments, identify risks, and pinpoint opportunities for process optimization, Agile working, and further digitalization.
What you will do.
- Develop and manage metadata models and standards for documents, files, data, and processes.
- Establish and maintain guidelines for classification, keywords, taxonomies, and ontologies.
- Monitor consistency and quality within information systems, including DMS/RMS, case management systems, and collaboration platforms.
- Perform metadata audits, quality measurements, and data profiling in applications and registrations.
- Support the migration of archives and datasets, including mapping between old and new metadata structures.
- Collaborate with information advisors, record managers, functional administrators, data architects, and privacy officers.
- Manage metadata catalogs, appraisal lists, and destruction selection lists.
- Work on issues at the intersection of archiving, business operations, legal obligations, and digital architecture.
What they ask
- HBO/WO (higher professional education/university) work and thinking level, preferably in information management, archival science, computer science, data management, or similar.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in information management, archiving, or data management.
- Experience within a large (government) organization, preferably a G4 municipality or comparable implementing organization.
- Knowledge of the Archiefwet (Archives Act), Woo (Government Information (Public Access) Act), AVG (GDPR), BIO (Baseline Information Security Government), selection lists, and municipal standards.
- Knowledge of metadata standards and data models such as MDTO, TMLO, NEN-ISO 23081.
- Experience with DMS/RMS, case management systems, and Office 365 / SharePoint / Teams.
- Understanding of data architecture, information modeling, and data catalogs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to connect different departments.
- Capable of inspiring and positively influencing colleagues.
- In-depth knowledge of information management and information governance.
- Experience working on common ICT developments.
- Up-to-date with the latest developments in the field and able to apply this knowledge.
