As Assistant Store Manager, you ensure this every day. You oversee that processes are executed correctly, that colleagues are satisfied, and that the store meets customer wishes. You ensure a safe environment and are given space to develop the store commercially. The result of your efforts is a commercial and clean store and an engaged store team.
What you do
- Responsible for one of two specializations: Process & Goods Processing or Customer & Commerce
- Lead the Process & Goods Processing department (if specialized in this area)
- Lead colleagues in the fresh and checkout departments (if specialized in Customer & Commerce)
- Work with the team to achieve goals and celebrate successes together
- Stimulate colleagues and give them freedom to think about their department and the store themselves
- Develop team members and foster collaboration
- Ensure the branch achieves set goals (revenue, shrinkage, customer and employee satisfaction)
- Empower colleagues and utilize their talents (e.g., involve a colleague active on TikTok in the store's social media)
- Identify opportunities and act on them (e.g., add local products or contribute to a neighborhood initiative)
- Provide operational support to the team
- Ensure optimal team staffing, including development talks and recruitment of new colleagues
What they ask
- HBO diploma (higher professional education)
- MBO 4 diploma or HAVO diploma; an assessment may be part of the procedure
