This role involves working within a dynamic environment, contributing to the development of robust and scalable backend systems. The assignment focuses on leveraging Java and event-based architectures to deliver high-quality software solutions.
What you do
- Design and implement scalable backend components and APIs within an event-based architecture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams to translate product requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Maintain high standards for code quality, observability, and operational excellence across all services.
- Manage the end-to-end development lifecycle from initial analysis to production monitoring and support.
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks to ensure stable deployments.
- Coach team members and drive the adoption of engineering best practices within the development team.
What they ask
- 8+ years of experience in backend engineering and Java development.
- 5+ years of experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
- 5+ years working with event-based architectures, API design, and integration patterns.
- 5+ years of experience in Agile product environments and technical consultancy.
- Strong expertise in coding, testing, and debugging complex backend systems.
- Experience in leading development teams and mentoring other engineers.
- Fluent in Dutch at level C2.
Nice to Haves.
- Practical experience with CQRS.
- 3+ years of experience with CI/CD, monitoring, and operational backend support.
- 3+ years of experience with the Atlassian Suite including Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
- Interest in or experience with Go.
- Previous experience working in a digital media or high-traffic product environment.
