Occupational Physician Assistant (POB)

As an Occupational Physician Assistant, collaboration with the occupational physician is essential.

• The degree of autonomy in consultations, absenteeism guidance, and advice can vary per organization.
• Various opportunities exist for experienced OPAs, considering how you prefer to fulfill your role.

What you will do.

• Conduct consultations with employees under the task delegation of the occupational physician.
• Guide employees through the absenteeism and reintegration process.
• Discuss the progress of reintegration and identify changes.
• Meticulously document findings.
• Coordinate with the occupational physician and collaborate with case managers, occupational experts, and other professionals.
• Maintain contact with employers and contribute ideas for appropriate next steps in the reintegration process.

What they ask

• HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level.
• Completed training as an Occupational Physician Assistant.
• Experience in absenteeism guidance or occupational health services.
• Knowledge of the Dutch Gatekeeper Improvement Act (Wet verbetering poortwachter).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to conduct consultations independently.
• Insight into when independent action is possible and when coordination with the occupational physician is necessary.
