Maintenance Technician

Do you want to apply your technical knowledge in one of the most unique locations in the Netherlands? As a maintenance technician at a public educational institution, you will work on the technology behind monumental buildings, modern laboratories, and educational facilities. You choose a role with variety and impact.

What you will do. You will work within the Maintenance and Management department of the Campus & Facilities directorate. You will work in various technically interesting university buildings and their installations. You will be involved in the maintenance of building-related installations. This includes:

• You trace malfunctions based on reports and signals from users and resolve them or escalate them.
• You guide external suppliers, co-evaluate offers, and check the work delivered.
• You maintain administration, such as work orders, logbooks, and automated systems.
• You participate in on-call and availability services.

What they ask You enjoy working independently but also seek collaboration when necessary. You translate technical problems into workable solutions and communicate clearly with colleagues and users. In addition, you have:

• MBO (intermediate vocational education) work and thinking level. For example, through an MBO education in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering or relevant work experience.
• experience with mechanical engineering or electrical engineering.
• knowledge of installation technical laws and regulations.
• affinity with measurement & control technology and climate control.
• a valid VCA-VOL certificate or you are willing to obtain the training through us.
• a B driving license, in connection with the on-call service.
