A healthcare organization is looking for Baby Home Care Assistants. You will play a special role as a coach in (future) parenthood for vulnerable families, where full self-reliance is not yet achievable. You provide temporary support within the family.
What you do
- Discuss with parent(s) where their strengths and concerns lie.
- Translate this into development needs and appropriate care goals.
- Evaluate the development and growth in parenthood during care.
- Strengthen strengths and initiate actions if necessary.
- Work closely with youth health care, case managers, and other involved chain partners.
Profile
- Diploma as a Maternity Nurse and KCKZ-registered.
- Experience or affinity with providing care to families with support needs in social, psychological, and medical areas (vulnerable situations).
- An eye for the wishes, interests, and expectations of the family and placing them central to your work.
- Stand strong and are ready for more depth in your profession.
- Get energy from further developing this unique product in the market.
- Enjoy working independently and can communicate well with other colleagues and care providers.
- Flexible deployment.
- In possession of a car and driving license.
Practical
- First, follow a number of training courses (four modules spread over two days).
- Start in a regional team within maternity care, then move on to the flexible Baby Home Care team.
- After a minimum of 100 hours in Baby Home Care (on average one year), you can transfer to the permanent team.
- To maintain your KCKZ registration: 100 hours of maternity care per year (two regular maternity families).
- Training in guiding parents with psychiatric problems, mild intellectual disability, GIZ methodology, dealing with sleep-wake rhythm problems, and crying behavior of newborns.
- More control over your work schedule, with the possibility of shifts during school hours.
- Irregular working hours and night shifts may occur.
- Salary in accordance with CAO Kraamzorg (FWG 40).
- 40% irregular hours allowance, 8.33% year-end bonus, and 8% holiday pay.
- Good pension scheme with PFZW.
