Within the Legal Affairs team, we are looking for several professionals for the position of Legal Advisor Objection and Appeal. At a regional government agency, you will work with over 200 colleagues to create a pleasant, safe, and sustainable living environment. We do this for and with various municipalities and the province in the region. The organization is active in permit granting, supervision, and enforcement for entrepreneurs, organizations, and residents.
In addition, knowledge is shared, and advice is provided to municipalities and other parties on topics such as the living environment, construction, environment, energy, archaeology, soil, air, and nature. Supervision of waste and raw material chains is also maintained for a broad region to prevent environmental crime. The organization is open and outward-looking, with a good, informal working atmosphere and ample room for development and growth.
What you do
- Handling complex objection and appeal procedures
- Drafting procedural files and statements of defense
- Representing colleges of B&W (Mayor and Aldermen) during objection and appeal procedures and hearings
- Providing legal advice to internal and external stakeholders
- Advising on environmental law
- Serving as a point of contact for colleagues on legal issues
- Contributing to the quality of legal products and services
- Quickly familiarizing yourself with new laws and regulations and advising on them

- Completed education at a minimum of HBO bachelor level
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in the past 5 years in the role of legal counsel for objection and appeal within environmental law
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in the past 5 years at a municipality and/or environmental service
