Civil Engineer

For an industrial organization, we are looking for a Civil Engineer who wants to combine technical expertise with project responsibility. You will be part of an experienced Project Engineering team responsible for the realization of various investment projects. You will contribute to projects within an industrial environment where safety, quality, planning, and technical accuracy are central.

What you will do. As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for the civil and structural aspects of various industrial projects. You will be involved from the initial initiative and concept phase and remain closely involved until execution and final delivery. You will collaborate with various Project Managers, internal stakeholders, engineering partners, and contractors. In doing so, you will ensure that the civil scope of your projects is technically correct, within budget, and according to schedule.

Specifically, this includes:

• Guiding civil and construction projects from concept to execution and delivery.
• Drawing up concept plans and, where necessary, execution plans.
• Making budget estimates and calculations within the civil discipline.
• Checking technical calculations, plans, technical specifications, and calculation notes from external parties.
• Being responsible for the preparation of specifications, tender documents, and quantity surveys.
• Technically analyzing offers and preparing bid tabs/offer evaluations.
• Closely monitoring the civil scope, planning, and budget.
• Working on industrial construction and steel structures, taking into account applicable standards and guidelines.
• Co-managing project administration and project folders.
• Collaborating with contractors and external engineering partners during the execution phase.
• Regularly consulting with Project Managers and other stakeholders to advance projects smoothly.
• Reporting technical information clearly and to-the-point, both verbally, in writing, and graphically.

What they ask We are looking for someone who is technically strong, takes ownership, and likes to move projects forward. You possess:

• A higher degree in civil engineering, construction, or a similar technical field.
• Knowledge and/or experience in industrial construction, preferably with steel structures.
• A good understanding of relevant standards, guidelines, and technical regulations.
• Experience with budgeting, technical documentation, and/or project engineering is a strong asset.
• A good command of Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
