A Belgian-Dutch engineering firm with over 30 years of experience in the Maritime & Offshore sector is looking for a shipbuilding project engineer. You will directly contribute to challenging projects in new construction & refits of vessels, ranging from workboats to megayachts (+130 m).
What you will do.
- You will perform calculations for the basic engineering department, such as stability, strength, and FEM.
- You will enjoy spending part of your time on research and development of new technologies and designs, for example, battery-electric ships.
- You will work closely with the team and clients to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
- You can grow into project management, where you will be responsible for concept engineering and ensuring that the work is technically correct and executed within the agreed planning and budget.
- Projects range from new shipbuilding constructions and obtaining class approvals to offshore wind mobilizations, Dynamic Positioning (DP) upgrades, and software simulations of maritime systems.
Profile
- You have a background in maritime techniques, marine technology, or mechanical engineering.
- You are eager to learn about budgeting, calculation, and design of various ship types.
- You are a motivated starter or have already gained your first work experience.
- You want to contribute to the design of offshore vessels and superyachts of 100 meters and longer.
