You will guide young people aged 13 to 18 in their personal development, independence, and undertaking of activities. The young people receive 24/7 guidance so that from the age of 18, they can live independently in a reception center, their country of origin, or their own home in the Netherlands.
What you will do.
- Organize (group) activities such as cooking, sports, or creative activities.
- Act as a shadow mentor for complex cases if necessary.
- Conduct methodical discussions with the young people.
- Perform room checks and provide information.
- Work closely with colleagues in morning, afternoon, and night shifts.
- Participate in regular meetings and intervision discussions.

Profile
- Education: at least a completed MBO level 4 education in an agogic field (e.g., Social Work, Personal counselor social care, Specific target group counselor, or Pedagogical employee).
- Work experience: at least 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of methodical guidance and intercultural communication.
- Personality: be resilient, social, collegial, and reliable.
- Flexibility: availability for day, evening, night, and weekend shifts (night shifts are always wake-up shifts). This is a strict requirement.
Practical
You will work at a newly opening process reception location, one of the reception locations for unaccompanied minor foreign nationals. The size of the reception locations and the number of young people varies. A team consists of an average of 15 to 40 employees, including youth workers, resident counselors, and behavioral experts.
