As an HR Business Partner (internal title: HR Advisor) at a government organization, you hold a visible and proactive position within the organization. As an independent sparring partner, you critically observe and assist others with advice and action. You enable managers and employees to make the right choices and take responsibility, and subsequently manage the implementation of what has been decided. A challenging role for HR generalists who want to provide direction and connect.
What you do
- Work closely with location managers and an (adjunct) regional manager.
- Advise managers and employees on more complex cases.
- Focus on crucial themes such as leadership, absenteeism prevention, social safety, employment conditions, vitality, team development, and strategic personnel planning.
- As a lead in the client team for your region, regularly coordinate with colleagues from HR Advice, the reintegration advisor, the recruitment advisor, HR Service employees, and the prevention officer.
Profile
- HBO or university degree in HRM or similar.
- At least 5 years of experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner.
- Experience in guiding personnel processes and/or organizational changes in a complex and dynamic work environment.
- A hands-on mentality and proactively seeking information when it is not readily available.
- With a down-to-earth attitude, remain calm in stressful situations and maintain an overview.
- A critical perspective and not shying away from challenges.
- Bring a clear personal vision on HR.
- Possess a driving license and a car to visit locations when required.
Practical
- You will be part of a national HR team with over 170 colleagues, divided into HR Advice, HR Service, and HR Specialists.
- In the Central-North region, you will work closely with two other HR advisors.
- Although you work independently, you regularly connect with colleagues to share knowledge and experiences.
- Five times a year, all HR Business Partners meet at a central location in the country; in between, we quickly connect online and informally.
- Flexibility and mobility are important aspects of your work, with regular travel to various locations within the work area.
- A pre-employment screening, including a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) application, diploma and certificate verification, and identity check, is part of the procedure.
