You will work as a site employee for a municipal reception center for displaced persons. You will be responsible for the daily operations and be the first point of contact for residents. Together with colleagues, you will contribute to a safe and welcoming atmosphere and encourage residents' self-reliance.
What you will do.
- First point of contact for residents
- Support residents with practical matters
- Handle everything related to the arrival and departure of residents
- Contact person for external parties on site (e.g., security/reception, maintenance, civil affairs)
- Identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement
- Actively contribute ideas about the wishes and needs of residents
- Work closely with colleagues in the team
- Record actions taken during your shift in a daily report
- Ensure a safe and welcoming living environment

What they ask
- Demonstrable completed education at a minimum of HBO bachelor level
- Minimum of 1 year demonstrable work experience in the past 5 years in a refugee reception center
- Demonstrable willingness to be available outside regular working hours for urgent matters
- Demonstrable good command of the English language
- Demonstrable possession of a valid BHV diploma, or willingness to obtain it quickly
- Agree to the stated secondment conditions
- Use own IT resources (laptop, phone, and associated accessories)
Preferences.
- Minimum of 3 years demonstrable work experience in the past 5 years in a refugee reception center
- Minimum of 1 year demonstrable work experience in the past 5 years with Ukrainian refugees
- Demonstrable completed education at a minimum of HBO bachelor level in the field of Social Work and/or Services
