As a Caregiver IG, you support clients with a mild, moderate, severe, or multiple intellectual disability within a warm and safe living environment. You help clients with daily care, provide medical support, and together you look at what someone needs to feel comfortable, safe, and as independent as possible. Within a care organization, you are given the space to truly build a bond with clients and to be meaningful in their daily lives.
You work in disability care with clients who need (intensive) guidance, care, and proximity. No day is the same. You are involved in both daily support and medical care and have an eye for the person behind the care request.
What you will do.
- Personal care and support with ADL tasks
- Administering medication and performing nursing technical procedures
- Detecting changes in health, behavior
- Supporting with eating, mobility, communication
- Working with care plans and reporting observations
- Collaborating with colleagues, therapists, relatives
- Guiding clients with (intensive) care and support needs
What they ask
- An MBO 3 diploma in the field of Care & Welfare, Caregiver IG, MMZ, SPW, Social Care
- Authorized and competent in nursing technical procedures, such as administering medication, wound care, and working with patient lifts
- Preferably experience in disability care, elderly care, home care, or another care environment with guidance and care
- The ability to recognize signs of physical or behavioral changes in clients and to act accordingly
Profile
You will work at one of the residential locations of a care organization. Each location has its own target group, care demand, and method of guidance. Together, it will be determined which residential location and target group best suit your experience, interests, and qualities. Within the organization, warmth, safety, and personal attention are central. Together with colleagues, you create a trusted, homely environment where clients can be themselves and receive the support that suits them.
