Project Leader and Project Assistant

What you will do. As Project Leader:

  • Provide daily leadership for the further rollout of a successful regional pilot that guides newcomers to paid employment.
  • Manage implementation, monitor progress, and ensure that newcomers are guided to paid employment earlier and more effectively.
  • Be responsible for the coherence between content, collaboration, planning, and subsidy accountability within the frameworks of a European fund.
  • Functionally manage the implementing professionals, organize consultations and decision-making, and identify risks or bottlenecks in a timely manner.
  • Connect the project with existing policies in the field of integration, participation, and the labor market.
  • Be the central point of contact for various partners and agencies, employers, and subsidy advisors.
  • Ensure clear communication with partners, employers, and newcomers.
  • Maintain contact with the external research team conducting evaluations.
  • Ensure correct project administration, substantive progress reports, and financial accountability, in close collaboration with (regional) subsidy advisors and project support.

As Project Assistant:

  • Support the implementation and development of a local initiative.
  • Be responsible for the execution and implementation of new trajectories.
  • Be responsible for project and participant administration.
  • Organize meetings and workshops.
  • Support the project management team.
  • Ensure correct subsidy accountability.
  • Maintain contacts with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify risks and improvement opportunities in a timely manner.
  • Manage the project mailbox and ensure timely and correct handling of incoming correspondence.

Profile

  • Connection with the social mission to offer newcomers prospects for work.
  • Leadership: provide daily leadership to the project and effortlessly switch between strategic goals and daily project practice.
  • Connecting: effectively collaborate with diverse partners, bridge interests, and bring parties together in a joint regional approach.
  • Communication skills: communicate clearly at different levels, build support, and adjust when necessary.
  • Political sensitivity: work carefully and structured, with an eye for administrative relationships and decision-making processes.
  • Proactive: take initiative, analyze bottlenecks, and translate them into concrete improvements.
  • Planning and organizing: maintain an overview of various activities and interests, determine what is needed and when, and ensure realistic planning.

What they ask

  • Experience with project leadership within the social domain, labor market policy, integration, or a similar environment.
  • Experience with complex projects, preferably with European or national subsidies.
  • Familiarity with working within subsidy frameworks, monitoring, and accountability.
