Group Leader

• You guide a group of 8 to 10 young people who are staying there due to a criminal justice measure.
• You seek contact, maintain daily routines, and provide stability.
• You correct behavior calmly and clearly.
• You work in early or late shifts, with the possibility to indicate your preferences.
• In the early shift, you wake young people, ensure breakfast, and accompany them to lessons and outdoor breaks.
• In the late shift, you pick them up from school and provide relaxation, such as games or sports.
• You supervise visits.
• You conduct individual conversations and provide input for treatment plans through reports.
• After an onboarding period, you participate in a basic youth training.
• Opportunities for growth into the role of forensic supervisor are available.

What they ask

• Empathy and environmental awareness to understand group dynamics well.
• Motivating guidance and persuasion to ensure young people adhere to agreements and participate in activities.
• Remaining calm, adapting quickly, and adjusting the approach appropriately in unexpected situations.
• Accuracy, independent decision-making, and self-reflection for continuous development.

What they ask

• Minimum MBO level (level will be assessed with a capacity test).
• Experience with a similar target group, including internship experience.
• Good physical condition.
• Ability to work irregular shifts.

• You will be onboarded by an experienced colleague.
• You will follow a generic training and a group leader training totaling 3 weeks (full-time, paid, after a maximum of four weeks of onboarding).
• An allowance for irregular shifts is provided, which can amount to up to €450 gross per month.
