Housing Consultant

As a housing consultant, you are the face of the neighborhood. You know the residents, understand what is happening, and effortlessly liaise with partners such as the municipality, police, and care services. You tackle complex housing issues with courage, empathy, and decisiveness.

What you will do. You are the connecting link between residents, institutions, and external collaboration partners such as municipalities, police, and care institutions. You look beyond just the report and investigate what is needed to sustainably improve the situation. You deal with themes such as liveability, safety, housing fraud, and nuisance. You are not only strong in execution but also skilled in communication.

You know when to listen, when to intervene, and how to tactfully bring different interests together.

Responsibilities.

  • Housing fraud: detecting, investigating, and handling reports.
  • Nuisance situations: actively addressing nuisance and working towards a pleasant living environment.
  • Resident contact: actively maintaining contact with residents, resident committees, and resident groups.
  • Stakeholder management: being the link with externally involved parties such as the municipality, police, care institutions, and other aid organizations.

In short, you contribute to sustainable solutions for tenants and their living environment.

Profile

We are looking for a professional who is socially strong, stands firm, and maintains an overview in complex situations. You bring:

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Empathy and the ability to switch between different levels of communication.
  • A proactive and independent work attitude.
  • A flexible attitude and willingness to travel within the region.
  • Courage and decisiveness in conversations where interests may conflict.

Educational requirements.

  • A relevant HBO (higher professional education) degree OR demonstrable knowledge and experience within the housing corporation sector.
  • Experience with liveability issues, nuisance situations, or social management is a strong advantage.
