Clinical Psychologist Child & Youth

A healthcare organization is seeking temporary reinforcement for its child and adolescent psychology team within the Medical Psychology department. You will work with a psychotherapist, a clinical psychologist, and a psychological assistant. This team is part of a larger Medical Psychology department, where various psychologists and staff collaborate for patients of all ages. Pediatricians and specialized nurses are the primary referrers.

The organization is committed to developing and improving treatment offerings and work processes.

What you will do.

• Perform psychodiagnostics and (short-term) treatment for children and adolescents up to 18 years of age.
• Participate as a psychologist in various rotations/clinics, such as the diabetes clinic, premature babies clinic, and continence clinic.
• Involve the patients' system in the treatment.
• Collaborate closely with the medical team to coordinate care effectively.
• Collaborate and refer to care outside the organization where necessary.
• Focus on one or two specific areas of interest, such as medical trauma, premature babies, chronic conditions (type 1 diabetes, asthma), persistent physical complaints, and continence problems.
• Provide direct support to families at the Premature Babies Clinic and, with sufficient experience, the PIPO clinic (bowel and bladder problems).
• Focus on diagnostics, indication setting, and tailored psychoeducation.
• Activities take place partly in the clinic and partly in the outpatient clinic.
