Within a forensic psychiatric unit of a specialized care institution, a lead practitioner is sought with an affinity for the treatment of individuals who have committed, among other things, sexually transgressive behavior or sexual offenses. Work involves clients with a mild intellectual disability (MID) and psychiatric and/or behavioral problems, predominantly within a judicial framework.
Through diagnostics, risk assessments, and treatments such as EMDR, schema therapy, and CBT, clients are helped to understand behavior, reduce risks, and gradually regain control.

- You combine treatment and diagnostics with substantive guidance within the team and close collaboration with network and chain partners
- You look beyond the offense and have an eye for the individual, their vulnerabilities, and underlying needs
- You enjoy complex issues, can switch quickly, and see opportunities to make a difference even in challenging situations
Profile
- Completed university degree in behavioral sciences and registered as a GZ-psychologist or Orthopedagogue-Generalist
- Knowledge of and affinity with forensic work
- Experience in the role of lead practitioner, with stimulating teams to expertise and managing group dynamics
- Strong in multidisciplinary collaboration
- Knowledge and application of laws and regulations within healthcare and the legal aspects of forensic work
- Resilient, flexible, able to relativize, proactive, and possessing an engaged and open personality
- Experience in tailoring treatment methods to the individual client with their specific needs
