This specialized team within a national government organization exercises the legal hacking authority. The team works at the request of investigation teams and is part of a national unit. As a Linux DevOps Engineer, you enable offensive security specialists to perform their work safely, efficiently, and reliably.
What you do
- Develop, stabilize, and monitor advanced infrastructures for investigative activities.
- Ensure a secure, reliable, and integral infrastructure for evidence collection.
- Implement a high degree of automation at both OS and network levels.
- Support offensive security specialists in their work.
- Potentially be present during major operations, which may involve irregular working hours.
Profile
- Extensive experience in infrastructure development and complex assignments.
- Customer-oriented and solution-driven, with an eye for team needs.
- Strong collaboration skills, but also capable of working independently.
- HBO (bachelor) working and thinking level.
- Demonstrable knowledge of and/or experience with Linux, Python, and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Saltstack).
- Plus: knowledge of virtualization (e.g., VMware, KVM, LXC).
- Plus: knowledge of networking and network security.
- Plus: knowledge of tools and technologies (e.g., Git, Gitlab, Apache, Nginx).
- Plus: knowledge of logging, monitoring, and analysis tooling (e.g., Splunk, ELK, Nagios).
Practical
- Shielding and confidentiality are essential.
- An assessment and security screening A are part of the selection procedure.
- Dutch nationality is required (can also be a second nationality).
