You guide detainees in a workshop where they perform simple production work. You ensure meaningful daily activities and prepare them for a successful return to society.
What you do
- Guide and motivate a group of up to 24 detainees during production activities (e.g., making parts, labeling cans).
- Ensure proper execution of work and timely delivery of products.
- Stimulate detainees, coach them, and conduct discussions.
- Set boundaries and ensure compliance with rules.
- Prepare the workshop and distribute tasks.
- Provide explanations, answer questions, and assist when necessary.
- Supervise safety at entrances and exits of workplaces, including tool checks.
- Intervene in case of disturbances or misconduct.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as ordering goods, sending invoices, and tracking hours worked.
- Conduct progress interviews about development.
- Maintain contact with clients to ensure product standards are met.
Profile
- You can set boundaries and conduct firm discussions.
- You have a sense of perspective and are not easily rattled by problems or challenges.
- You are empathetic, while maintaining professional distance.
- Demonstrable MBO 4 working and thinking level.
- Experience working in production, maintenance, logistics, metal, bread/pastry, woodworking, textile, or building maintenance.
- Good communication skills in Dutch and preferably also in English.
- Good physical and mental condition.
Practical
- You will be trained by an experienced colleague.
- You will follow a 6-week internal training.
