You will be part of a Spatial Realization department, Public Space Management team within a government organization.
- This involves replacing a permanent employee and is an embedded function with continuous core activities under guidance and supervision.
- Together with colleagues and contractors, you are responsible for the management and maintenance of public green spaces.
- You supervise the execution and monitor quality, safety, planning, and communication with the environment.
What you will do.
- Supervision of the mowing specifications (2 rounds of approx. 6–8 weeks), including specification administration.
- Guidance and supervision of planting during the planting season (projects), including specification administration.
- Supervision of the maintenance of annual plantings.
- Cables and pipelines: supervision of trench digging and making decisions about the route.
- Preparations for the new planting season: elaboration of specifications and drawings for the green part.
Profile
- You work a lot outdoors.
- You identify bottlenecks in a timely manner, coordinate with work preparation and contractors, and ensure that agreements are met.
What they ask
- Demonstrably completed education at a minimum of MBO level.
- Minimum of 2 years of demonstrable work experience in the past 8 years with independent supervision in the field of green management within a (semi-)governmental institution.
- Demonstrable work experience in the past 10 years with trees and plantings in public green spaces, both in urban and landscape environments.
- Demonstrable work experience with digital management and registration systems within public space management, such as green management systems, GIS applications, AutoCAD, or comparable systems.
Preferences.
- Minimum of 1 year of demonstrable work experience with GIS applications, green management systems, or comparable systems.
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable work experience with trees and plantings in public green spaces, both in urban and landscape environments.
