Complex Security Officer

• Maintain order, peace, and safety within the institution.
• Check visitors and staff upon entry.
• Escort detainees to appointments or activities.
• Be involved in cell inspections.
• Monitor security via cameras, both inside and outside the building.
• Intervene when necessary in visitor areas, general spaces, and detainee sections.
• Be part of the emergency response organization (BHV) and potentially an internal assistance team.
• Admit and register personnel and visitors, supervising security measures.
• Monitor isolation cells via cameras for quick intervention in emergencies.
• Escort detainees to appointments within the institution's walls.
• Supervise conjugal visits and conduct body searches afterwards.
• Provide support during calamities, such as disputes between detainees.
• Oversee security around the building.

What they ask

• MBO 2 working and thinking level (assessed with a capacity test).
• Interest in security and the importance of safety for everyone.
• Remain calm during tensions and act clearly and respectfully.
• Good physical and mental condition.
• Some technical knowledge of security systems and cameras, or the willingness to learn this.
• Good communication skills in Dutch.
• Willingness to work irregular shifts (day, evening, or night shifts).
• Stress-resistant, decisive, and strong communicator.
• Ability to adapt communication with detainees to the situation.

• Fixed-term employment contract with the prospect of an indefinite contract.
• A probationary period of up to 1 month is possible.
• Salary level: Scale 04.
• Individual Choice Budget (IKB) of 16.5% of your annual salary.
• Full reimbursement of public transport travel costs, or an attractive mileage allowance of €0.21 per kilometer if public transport is not possible.
