What you do

  • As an Asset Manager within Lifecycle Optimization, you look ahead.
  • You continuously seek the optimal balance between performance, risks, and costs over the entire lifecycle for a portion of the asset portfolio.
  • You use data and operational knowledge to determine where optimization, maintenance, or reinvestment is needed.
  • You look at patterns and opportunities across the portfolio, not just individual assets.
  • You translate data on performance, malfunctions, risks, and costs into long-term choices.
  • You ensure insights and lessons, where possible, lead to structural improvements for the broader portfolio.
  • You work closely with Asset Operations.
  • Specifically, this means:
  • You translate the asset strategy into lifecycle plans for your portfolio segment and develop maintenance and reinvestment proposals.
  • You use data and analyses to connect current choices with performance, risks, and costs over the full lifecycle.
  • You develop and prioritize reinvestment proposals based on lifespan, risk, performance, and financial value, supported by a solid business case.
  • You initiate and lead root cause analyses for structural or recurring problems, translating outcomes into improvements for the broader portfolio.
  • You recognize patterns across assets and translate insights from individual systems into standards and improvements for the broader portfolio.
  • You translate requirements regarding reliability, compliance, safety, and sustainability into frameworks and lifecycle measures for your portfolio.
  • You ensure a smooth transition of new assets from Construction to the operational phase from an Asset Lifecycle Optimization perspective.
  • You systematically identify and prioritize risks within your portfolio, translating them into measures and investment proposals.
  • You contribute to building a growing team and actively participate in the further development of Asset Lifecycle Optimization.

What they ask

  • Understand the technical and financial aspects of sustainable energy systems and translate this knowledge into a long-term strategy.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in asset management, portfolio management, or a comparable role within a strategic, technical environment.
  • Demonstrable experience with sustainable energy systems, mechanical installations, or heat pumps.
  • Completed HBO or WO education (higher professional education or university), preferably in a technical or business administration direction.
  • Strong analytical skills: you translate data on lifecycle, risk, and TCO into clear strategic choices.
  • Good communication skills: you easily switch between technical, financial, and operational colleagues.
  • VCA VOL and GPI certifications, or willingness to obtain them.

  • 12-month contract with prospect of permanent employment.
