As an Asset Manager within Lifecycle Optimization, you continuously seek the optimal balance between performance, risks, and costs over the entire lifecycle of a portion of the asset portfolio. You use data and knowledge from operations to determine where optimization, maintenance, or reinvestment is needed, looking at patterns across the portfolio. You translate data on performance, failures, risks, and costs into long-term choices and ensure structural improvements.
You work closely with the Asset Operations team.
What you do
- Translate the asset strategy into lifecycle plans for your part of the portfolio and develop maintenance and reinvestment proposals.
- Use data and analyses to connect today's choices to performance, risks, and costs over the entire lifecycle.
- Develop and prioritize reinvestment proposals based on lifespan, risk, performance, and financial value, and substantiate them with a solid business case.
- Initiate and lead root cause analyses for structural or recurring problems and translate the outcomes into improvements for the broader portfolio.
- Identify patterns across assets and translate insights from individual systems into standards and improvements for the broader portfolio.
- Translate requirements regarding reliability, compliance, safety, and sustainability into frameworks and lifecycle measures for your portfolio.
- Ensure a smooth transition of new assets from Construction to the operational phase from an Asset Lifecycle Optimization perspective.
- Systematically identify risks within your portfolio, prioritize them, and translate them into measures and investment proposals.
- Contribute to building a growing team and actively participate in the further development of Asset Lifecycle Optimization.
What they ask
- Experience in asset management, portfolio management, or a comparable role within a strategic, technical environment.
- Affinity with sustainable energy systems, mechanical installations, or heat pumps.
- A completed HBO or WO education, preferably in a technical or business administration direction.
- Strong analytical skills: translating data on lifecycle, risk, and TCO into clear strategic choices.
- Good communication skills: easily switch between technical, financial, and Asset Operations colleagues.
- VCA VOL and GPI certifications, or the willingness to obtain them.
