A national defense organization is looking for a security guard to strengthen its team. The organization is responsible for the surveillance and security of all locations, personnel, and equipment. This is important and responsible work, with continuous training, including the use of force. You will receive a good salary with an allowance for irregular services and an Individual Choice Budget. There is a clear and stable five-week work schedule for a good work-life balance.
What you do
As a security guard, you are the silent force at the organization's locations. You perform various tasks, including:
- Patrolling locations
- Observing irregularities and monitoring camera footage
- Signaling suspicious situations and acting effectively when necessary
- Responding to alarms and using force if the situation requires it
- Performing access controls and ensuring only authorized persons gain entry
- Operating access systems
- Providing support during calamities within the organizational units
Good basic training and regular refresher courses are part of the role.

- Good social and communication skills (Dutch spoken and written)
- Mentally strong, calm, and able to maintain an overview in stressful situations
- Vigilant, strong in detecting and assessing situations, quick to react, and dares to take immediate action when needed

What they ask
- MBO 2 Security diploma
- Preferably previous work experience in security or as military personnel
- Dutch nationality (can be a second nationality)
- Physically fit, actively engaging in sports, and a healthy lifestyle
- Able to seamlessly participate in 5-shift services (day/evening/night and weekend shifts)
- In possession of a B driving license (manual) and own transport for commuting
