As a team manager, you will lead two teams and contribute to the future of young people within a youth home and a crisis group. You ensure that young people feel safe, employees feel seen and heard, and professionals can perform their work well. You work daily on good care and sustainable perspectives for young people.
What you will do.
- Lead two teams that guide young people who temporarily need extra support, safety
- Ensure connection, clear frameworks, and a shared direction between the locations
- Be visible and involved, with an eye for safety and group dynamics
- Provide employees with professional space and be clear when the situation demands it
- Manage the quality and continuity of youth care and guide employees in complex situations
- Work closely with the regional manager, behavioral scientist, and chain partners
- Be responsible for the annual plan and the development of both locations
- Be responsible for HR policy, staffing
- Be responsible for the quality and continuity of care provision
- Be responsible for financial operations
- Be responsible for team development and professionalization
- Stimulate methodical work, professional development, and collaboration with young people, parents, and their network
- Maintain an eye for the balance between safety, development
- Work from the principles of non-violent resistance to set boundaries for destructive behavior and restore relationships
Profile
- A people-oriented and strong leader who listens, builds trust, and knows how to provide direction and make decisions
- Easily navigate between daily practice and the long term
- Completed higher professional education (hbo) or university education (wo) and a management training or the willingness to follow one
- Experience as a manager within healthcare, youth care, government, education, or a similar environment
- Experience with team development and people-oriented leadership
- Insight into HR, policy
- Ability to connect people and guide them through changes
- Affinity with young people and complex issues
- A vision on recovery-oriented and perspective-oriented work
- A Christian identity
